Vocational training of the Department of Youth Development

The Department of Youth Development will train more than 11,000 unemployed to become self-reliant in 5 trade-oriented trades for a period of six months. The training will be imparted in 64 districts of the country through the training centers of the department. The last date for submission of applications is June 28. Job News has sought training.

Trade in Trades: A total of 4960 people will be trained in Computer Basic and ICT Application Courses. Of these, a maximum of 60 students will be admitted in each batch in 61 centers of the country. A total of 300 students will be admitted in each batch of professional graphics design course in 50 batches in each of the six divisional centers. A total of 1950 people will be trained in each batch of Electrical and Housing Trade, 1950 persons per batch, 1950 persons per batch of Electronics Trade and 30 persons per batch of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade.

Eligibility: Minimum qualification for admission in Computer Basic and ICT Application and Professional Graphics Design course is HSC or equivalent pass. The minimum qualification for admission in Electrical and Housing, Electronics and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trades is 8th class or equivalent pass. Must be between the ages of 18-35. Must be unemployed. Preference will be given to Muktijoddha quota candidates.

Application Procedure: All Tedders are valid for 6 months. The application form prescribed by the Department of Youth Development can be found at www.dyd.gov.bd-GZ. Forms can be collected free of cost from the office of the Deputy Director of each district. The application has to be filled and submitted to the office of the acting deputy director of the district. A photocopy of Educational Qualification Certificate, a photocopy of National Identity Card or a photocopy of birth registration issued by the Chairman / Municipal Commissioner of the local Union Parishad and two newly taken passport size photographs should be attached with the application form.

Selection Process and Interview: Candidates will be interviewed for selection in each subject. Interviews will be conducted at the respective district deputy director’s offices of the department. The date and time of written test / interview of the pre-selected candidates will be informed from the District Office of the Department. During the oral examination and at the next time, the selected candidates should be kept with all the original documents at the time of admission. The decision of the selection board regarding admission will be final. However, preference will be given to women candidates nominated by any type of youth organization.

Training Fees and Accommodation Facilities: The Department of Youth Development will bear all the costs of these trainings starting from 1st July. However, nominal training fee will be charged from the candidates. Admission fee for Computer Basic and ICT application is Rs.1000, Professional Graphics Design course fee is Rs.2000 and Admission fee for Electrical and Housing, Electronics and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade is Rs.300. Admission fee has to be paid at the time of admission. Even if there is no full accommodation facility, the opportunity will be given to stay in the youth training center without rent. In that case you have to bear the other expenses including food.
